After the rains

After the tumultuous weekend storm subsided, families took advantage of a break in the weather and headed to Radloff Park in Somerset West with their dogs and children, wearing gumboots and warm layers to fend off the winter chill. Young Sebastian Schneeberger, 5, wasted no time in kicking off his blue wellies and jumping in the puddles, while mom Heike looked on. The Lourens River is in magnificent full flow, and many of the regular pathways were converted to rivulets, necessitating some big leaps (for those of us who didn’t have appropriate footwear on…).
