The Bus Stop, a new dining experience, serving burgers, pizzas and waffles, has arrived at Stellenbosch Vineyards. The eatery is situated in the centre of the pond on the Welmoed farm, on Baden Powell Drive, sporting a bright yellow 1980 Bedford bus as the heart of the restaurant. The concept gives a twist to the “food truck revolution’”, with the bus refurbished into a bar serving the innovative brand Arniston Bay Infusions, the farm’s heritage brand Welmoed and the home brand Stellenbosch Vineyards. The venue is furnished in vintage style, with refurbished bus chairs making the experience fun, and familiar. Bus shelter inspired booths are dotted around the grass surrounding the Bus Stop, for guests wanting a bit more privacy to enjoy lazy afternoons and evenings. The Bus Stop is open Thursdays to Sundays, 11.30am to 10pm. Pictured are Stllenbosch Vineyards inovations manager, Stephan van Rooyen, and chef Nic van Wyk.
