Women’s Day with the SU Jazz Band

■ The Endler Concert Series, in partnership with the Stellenbosch University Transformation office and the Women’s Forum, present a concert in celebration of Women’s Day today, Wednesday August 8, at 8pm, in the Endler Hall. The Stellenbosch University (SU) Jazz Band take centre stage under the direction of Felicia Lesch, joined by South African jazz icon Gloria Bosman, pictured, jazz rising star, Babalwa Mentjies, and former Certificate Programme music student Zinzi Carolissen – who is currently studying at the Berkeley College of Music in Boston. The Certificate Programme is the pre-undergraduate programme of the SU Music Department, which was created to equip members of the broader community with skills to read music and play an instrument at a level, enabling them to embark on a BMus or Diploma programme at tertiary level.
