The TransCape mountain bike race, which takes place from Knysna to Franschhoek, is a seven-day, 614km route, with more than 250 riders gearing up for next year’s expedition at the beginning of February. The campaign’s theme is “It’s Time”.
ASG Events chief executive officer Wynand de Villiers said the race was much more than just a mountain bike experience – it is a life experience, because it is such an extraordinary journey over beautiful terrain. “This is the time to be a kid again, a time to play, get dirty, seat and suffer,” he said.
