Supporting the SAPS

* SAPS Somerset West station commissioner Mary Anne Williams with Wayne Heylens of Vitus Schola Security, and Briza neighbourhood watch co-ordinator Anelia Marais, both of whom received awards for unstinting support to the SAPS in the execution of their duties, at an awards function at the Somerset West library hall last week. The awards were conferred by the Somerset West Community Police Forum, under the chairmanship of Bill Smith. Guest speaker for the evening, Khayelitsha cluster commander,Major General Brand, thanked the SAPS members in Somerset West for their dedicated service, adding that Somerset West police station, under command of Colonel Mary Anne Williams, is one of the best run in the area.
