Jonkershoek training run

■ The AfricanX Training Run #3 will take place at the MTO Trails’ Jonkershoek plantation in Stellenbosch on Saturday February 3.  Hosted by former AfricanX winners, Dawid Visser and Rohan Kennedy, the event starts at 7.30am and entry is free.  Runners must meet at the Jonkershoek gate and are advised to wear trail shoes, take enough fluid – handheld or hydration packs – and pack energy gels and/or bars. The goal is to prepare runners for the 10th annual AfricanX Trailrun that will take place at Boschendal Wine Estate in April.  Pictured are Anele Mnukwa, in front, and Francois Groenewald, both from Grabouw, of Team Big Box in action during the 2017 AfricanX Trailrun.
