Danielle reaches for the stars

■ Thirteen-year-old violinist Danielle Kock, a pupil at Parel Vallei High School in Somerset West, has been selected to play in the Hugo Lambrechts 20th Concerto Festival at the Hugo Lambrechts Music Centre in Parow on Sunday August 26, at 6pm. In September she will perform in the SAMRO Hubert van der Spuy Music Competition. Danielle reached the third of four rounds in the competition last year, and is hoping to come in the top eight this year.
