Stellenbosch entrepreneur, strategic copywriter and public relations specialist Lynne Rippenaar-Moses, from Wrap it Up PR and Communications, is giving a talk at the Helderberg chapter of the Xtraordinary Women’s Network (XWN), at Erinvale Golf Club in Somerset West tomorrow, Thursday July 6, with registration at 8am.
Lynne’s love for storytelling catapulted her into the communications, public relations and media industry more than 15 years ago and since then she has fulfilled various roles as a general reporter, financial journalist, radio producer and sub-editor for media outlets such as the Cape Argus, Summit TV (now Business Day TV), Financial Mail, Business Day, Business Report, Cape Talk radio and New Media Publishing.
After exchanging the newsroom for a career in public relations in the higher education sector, she spent five years as a senior journalist focusing primarily on internal communications within Stellenbosch University’s central Corporate Communications division, and as editor of the university’s newspaper, Kampusnuus.
During that time, she also became a skilled science communications writer and took up a new position as a part-time communications and PR officer for the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the same university.
In 2013, she decided to take her love for storytelling to a whole new level and established Wrap it Up PR & Communications.
Tickets for non-XWN members cost R195, and include breakfast, and must be pre-booked.
