Caster takes gold

■ In windy conditions, South African middle distance star, Caster Semenya, pictured, gave the 34-year-old SA 1500m record a good scare at the final Liquid Telecom Athletix Grand Prix Series Meeting at the Dal Josaphat Stadium in Paarl, on Thursday March 22, when she crossed the line in 4:0.2.50. The record of 4:01.80 still stands behind the name of Zola Budd which she ran in Port Elizabeth on March 21, 1984.
