Head to Radloff Park for Arbor Day celebrations with the Friends of Radloff Park (FORP), on Saturday September 29, from 9am to noon, where there will be many fun activities
for the whole family. There will be various demonstrations on tree planting, pruning and dressing trees, a demonstration of mechanised large tree planting; a raffle draw with prizes to be one; a ceremonial planting of trees donated by the City of Cape Town; a high trees demonstration; tabor tossing; tug-of-war; and boerie rolls and drinks will be on sale, as well as the 2019 FORP calendar for R150 – so take cash for the day. There will be a local scouts and guides orienteering and an “Eco Race” competition. The scouts will be pioneering at the Arbor Day festivities, which is buildingn structures from poles and rope, and the cubs will have four activity bases.
