An annual event was held at Helderberg Village Bowling Club on Sunday, when 13 visually-impaired bowlers and their directors entertained Helderberg Village to a morning of impressive bowling skills from the visitors.
A team of players from the village pitted their skills against these visually-impaired bowlers, and this resulted in a friendly but fierce competition.
The results were not who won, but rather the friendly atmosphere in which it was played, and the spectators thoroughly enjoyed seeing how this sport enabled persons with poor or no eyesight to participate and enjoy this morning of fun.
Helderberg Village Bowling Club also thanked Pick n Pay Waterstone, who donated cooked chickens for the guests to take home.
