On Thursday August 23, I sent the following letter to the City of Cape Town:
“I felt it essential that I address you on the worsening state of the roads in Somerset West with pot holes being numerous and expanding while general road maintenance is poor. I look forward to your reply and hopefully action in this regard.”
On Tuesday August 28, I received the following reply from Elana Brummer, Customer Relations:
“Dear Mr Oates,
We hereby acknowledge receipt of your email dated August 23. Please be advised that we have forwarded your concern to the necessary department for their action. The following reference number: 1013890398 has been assigned to your request.
