Giving back on Mandela Day

Helderberg Hospice staff gave back to the community to celebrate Mandela Day, and all made a personal contribution to help someone else in need. Over the past few weeks they brought consumables and other handmade items, such as beanies, gloves and scarves to the office. These items were donated during a personal visit to the Helderberg Stroke Support Group (HSSG) on Mandela Day. HSSG were most thankful, and by the same token, the staff at Helderberg Hospice experienced the joy of giving. The donations will be going to their Lwandle, Nomzamo and Zola stroke rehabilitation groups. Some of the items will also be delivered to stroke survivors in their homes. Organisations and NPOs in the Helderberg basin work together to support each other and the communities they serve, to bring relief during these challenging times.
