An Evening Race to raise money for palliative care will be held on Wednesday December 7, on Paarl Mountain.
The race, in aid of the Drakenstein Palliative Hospice is sponsored by the Afrikaans Language Museum and Monument (ATM), Drakenstein Palliative Hospice, Historium Trust and Paarl Athletics Club.
The 10km Evening Race, starts at 18.30; it follows an exciting and challenging route on tarred and dirt roads. The entry fee is R100 (R110 for entry on the day) and temporary numbers (for those who are not members of an athletics club) are available at R50.
The fun 5km Word Run, which starts at 18.45, is aimed at the whole family – even prams are welcome. The entry fee is R60 (R70 on the day entry) and participants enter with a fun Afrikaans word instead of a number. In both cases walkers are welcome.
