With the generous funding provided by the City of Cape Town’s annual Grant-in-Aid, Helderberg Hospice was recently able to purchase good quality towels and bedding for their 24-hour Palliative Care Support Centre.
The centre provides a vital back-up to their home care service. Patients come in for pain and symptom management, family respite, and terminal care.
Hospice uses good quality cotton or poly cotton linen, as not only is this more comfortable for patients who have to spend long periods in bed, it is also hard-wearing and long-lasting.
Management and staff of Helderberg Hospice would like to thank the City of Cape Town, in particular Councillor Greg Peck, for their generosity and commitment to improving the lives of those in the Helderberg community.
