Marthie Nel Hauptfleisch has teamed up with jazz artist, Winston Siljeur, this month for a special show every Friday night, hosted at the Stellenbosch Museum in Reyneveld Street. The event is a celebration of the history of jazz as a genre, with the concerts filled with music. “Jazz started out as funeral music, but became too lively and people started just making their own music. If you find yourself keeping the beat with your feet or fingers, you will know that this is jazz,” says Marthie. Picnic baskets of two are available at the event for R200. The final show date is Friday November 22. Visit www.marthienel.com/bookings/ to book tickets.    Â
