Gordon’s Bay Lions Club would like to encourage the Helderberg community to donate 100 blankets during May, to the Helderberg Animal Welfare. The community members can drop off the blankets at the Helderberg Animal Welfare, and take a photograph of themselves in front of the building and post it on the Gordon’s Bay Lions Club Facebook page. For each 20 blankets donated and posted on the Facebook page during May, the Gordon’s Bay Lions Club will donate an additional 5kg of dog food to the Helderberg Animal Welfare (Gordon’s Bay Lions Club supports the Helderberg Animal Welfare every month with dog food). The Helderberg Animal Welfare is also in dire need of dog jerseys, toys and as always, food. They use 80kg of dog food a day. Volunteers are also needed to walk the dogs, at the premises, or on the beach. Contact them at 021 856 0597 for more information.
