Classical guitar concert

■ Helderberg Concerts presents a classical guitar concert, the next in its Classical Sounds concert series, hosted at the Helderberg Dutch Reformed Church, Firmount Street, Somerset West, at 3pm, on Sunday May 20. Classical guitar students from the University of Stellenbosch will play works by the likes of Bach, Barrios, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Dyens, Ponce, Pujol, Villa-Lobos and Rodrigo. Hugo Veldsman and Joshua Frank, pictured, are among the students who will be playing. Refreshments will be on sale before and after the concert. Entry is free but donations for the furthering of classical music and music development in the Helderberg area are welcome.
