Nipper’s triumph

Strand Lifesaving Club Nippers, Liam Clarke, Cullen Clarke and Aiden Laubser won gold for the mixed under-12 Taplin event at the 2019 General Tire Surf Lifesaving Nationals, which was held in Port Elizabeth over the school holidays. Jemma Boettger  and Jadon Herbert have been included in the Western Cape Nipper lifesaving squad,  while Rebecca Carter-Smith and Taylor Yates were selected to represent the Western Cape in the Interprovincial Lifesaving Championships, which were held at Clifton beach on Saturday April 13.
