■ Dirtopia on the R44 outside Stellenbosch has two events on offer on Youth Day, Saturday June 16. The Youth Day Trail Run route wends its way between the vineyards with great views and a single track section in the Simonsberg Conservancy. There will be youth categories in all distances. In the Nine-to-Five Team relay, mountain bikers ride as many laps as possible over a 10km course, and trail runners run as many laps as possible over a 5km course, over eight hours.
