On Friday afternoon, Bolander editor Carolyn Frost sat in on the Eco-Rangers gathering at the Helderberg Nature Reserve’s environmental centre, where excited little ones listened to a talk on slip-sliding slugs and snails, given by Andreas Groenewald . Afterwards they made their own snails, with putty, an empty shell and little twigs.
Pictured is Tara Dilton-Hill holding her snails. The Eco-Rangers meet every Friday afternoon at the reserve with different age groups doing special activities. This coming Friday they will be discussing Spurwing Geese, and the legend of Mother Goose. For more information contact wendy@eco-rangers.co.za
