Young African talent shines in Paarl

■ Ethiopian cyclist Redwan Salih, is a member of the World Cycling Centre Africa team, which is competing in the five-day Bestmed Tour of Good Hope in and around Paarl this week. Salih is one of six African cyclists who are training at the World Cycling Centre Africa, based in Paarl. They are following a programme aimed at developing them to a level where they would be able to compete at the 2020 Olympics and on the world tour in two years’ time.
