In celebration of the beauty of water, and recognising its importance, the Liebrecht Gallery in Somerset West will be filled with water paintings which feature water drops, rain, the sea, underneath the surface of the sea, rivers, cascades, atolls, dams, ponds, waves, stormy seas, fishermen, mountain streams, aquariums, harbours, beaches, islands, fish, river mouths, waterfalls, and more.
The participating artists are Janet Botes, Nicole Bouwer, Jaco Coetzee, Anthea Delmotte, Hugo de Villiers, Wendy Gaybba, Callan Grecia, Janet Herr, Rachelle Hugo, Juria le Roux, Katharine Meeding, Clifford Mpai, Tanya Poole and Brahm van Zyl. The exhibition opens on Friday April 13, at 6pm, at 34 Oudehuis St, Somerset West.
