The Volunteer Wildfire Services (VWS) Nuweberg Trail Challenge, scheduled to take place at the Hottentots Holland Nature Reserve on Sunday March 22, has been postponed until it is safe to stage the event, as a result of the emergency measures enacted by President Cyril Ramaphosa, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Runners who have bought an entry may exercise one of three choices:
retain the entry until such time as the event is rescheduled;
request a refund;
donate the entry fee to the VWS.
All entry ticket holders will receive an email or SMS in due course providing the information required to exercise one of these three options.
“We are determined to stage the Nuweberg Trail Challenge once this crisis is behind us,” says VWS Jonkershoek/Grabouw station manager, Ian Harrison.
“We will remain in communication with those runners who wish to retain their entries and take part in the rescheduled event.”
