On Friday my wife and I hiked in Jonkershoek with our first permit after the lockdown, where I took this picture of the dam in Jonkershoek.
But the real stars are not in the picture…
A short while after taking the picture, we heard singing.
On the other side of the dam, a group of people in yellow overalls and gumboots slowly jogged towards the dam, made a turn and jogged back.
All the time their voices carried over to us – making it a beautiful open air concert. What a joyful start to a lovely day.
Maybe just what our country needs – more singing!
