The next meeting of the U3A Palaeontology Group in the Helderberg will take place on Friday January 26, at 2pm in the activity room at Heritage Manor, Hazelden Drive, Somerset West.
Presenter Andreas Groenewald, freelance environmental educator, field and nature guide will be presenting a video on an Icelandic trip undertaken by one of the group’s members last year, as well as the volcanic history of Hawaii and learning about a dinosaur Bigger than T-Rex – Spinosaurus, the largest meat eater.
Entry fees are R35 and R10 for tea or coffee. Visitors are requested to bring along the correct amount. There will be a backup power supply to offset load shedding.
