Trail runners are invited to run in the Winelands and sip on some wine along the route during the Wine Adventure Trail Run to be hosted at the Warwick wine estate on Sunday July 14.
Dirtopia’s trail team will open singletrack especially for this Sportsmans Warehouse trail run event.
Set near Stellenbosch, there is a route for all: a 5km (scholars and walkers welcome), a 10km and the most challenging 15km.
All routes stop at the waterpoint, where trail runners can taste Warwick’s Sauvignon Blanc and/or Pinotage wines against the backdrop of stunning views of Simonsberg and the Winelands from the slopes of Klapmutskop.
Only online entries qualify for an event medal and a discount – kids under-18 pay R60 online while pre-entry prices for the adults are between R150 and R230, depending on the distance.
Visit www.dirtpass.co.za by Friday July 12, although late entries will be accepted from 8am on the event day, but at an extra fee of R50. Timing (live for pre-entries) is optional with Trail Tag that you can rent for R20 or buy.
There will be vouchers to be won from Sportsmans Warehouse, wines from Warwick wine estate and FALKE running socks.
Massages from Ultimate Sports Recovery can be booked with entries. Trail runners will get to relax before and after their run on the beautiful lawn at the finish.
