South Africa’s number one action cricket umpire, Elton Daniels, centre, of Wellington, is the first South African to be invited to umpire in the World Indoor Cricket Federation Cup. He recently shared his experience of the 2017 tournament in Dubai with the members of the Paarl Rotary Club. With him are Rotarian Greg Pascoe, left, and Rotary president Abie Martin. Paarl Rotary made a contribution to Daniels’s travel expenses to ensure that he could go to Dubai.
