Too hot to handle

Emma Boonzaier, a Stellenbosch University fourth-year medical student from Somerset West, took this photo of a fire raging along the road at Hermanus last week. A man stands on top of his vehicle, assessing the blaze, which consumed the vegetation, sending massive plumes of smoke skywards.
