Sunset Sweatshop will perform on Saturday February 10, at the Muratie Canvas venue, at Muratie wine estate, Koelenhof.
Audiences are invited to come out to the estate in Stellenbosch, to enjoy a day listening to the eclectic band’s high-octane energy and soulful melodies.
Sunset Sweatshop is described as a ‘feel-good’, South African band that blends their unique style with distinctive local flavour.
Founded by a group of diverse musicians, the band infuses their music with rich cultural influences, creating a musical tapestry that celebrates the beauty and diversity of South Africa.
They released their debut single Move It, and have since then taken the South African music scene by storm.
With a blend of genres like Afrobeat, Funk, and Soul, the band creates a distinct and infectious sound that keeps audiences grooving.
Sunset Sweatshop’s lyrics often touch on social issues and universal themes, making their music not only entertaining but also thought-provoking.
As they continue to push musical boundaries and spread their rhythmic magic, Sunset Sweatshop stands as a example of South Africa’s rich musical heritage and its contribution to the global music landscape.
Check-in to the event is from 11am, with lunch from noon, music starting at 12.30pm with a pre-show by local artists Kruger & Tutu, before Sunset Sweatshop takes to the stage at 2.30pm.
Seating will be long table with informal family-style sharing format and will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Available food and drink on sale will be a variety of food, Muratie wines and other beverages. No own food and beverages are allowed at the venue.
