The Grade 11 pupils of Madrasatur Rajaa will be spearheading Heritage Day celebrations, in conjunction with their teachers, the Strand Moslem Council and the Strand Moslem Council Female Committee will be staging the event, on Friday September 22, at the hall of the Ummah Masjid, Hassan Khan
Avenue, Strand, at 7pm for 7.30pm. All the Grade 12 pupils of the community are invited, and will receive a free copy of the book
The founding of the Muslim Community in Strand in the early nineteenth century, 1822-1928, by Ebrahim Rhoda. The general public is welcome to attend, and entry is free. Refreshments will be on sale. Pictured is the front cover of the book.
