At the recent Western Province Cycling Association Awards dinner held at the Cape Sun, Somerset College students and twins, Nicholas and Sophia Friedrich, were awarded Western Province Colours for Road Cycling. Sophia was also awarded Western Cape Full Colours due to being placed in the top three at SA Champs in the Road Race or Time Trial sections. Sophia came third in the under-19 Girls’ Time Trial at SA Champs in June. Sophia also placed third in the Ladies’ Road League for the year, and was awarded a trophy for this.
