Somerset College debater to represent Western Cape

■ Saurabh Roychoudhury​, pictured, a ​Grade 9​ pupil from Somerset College,​ has been selected to participate in the South African National Schools Debating Championship at the end of the year in the Eastern Cape. He will be representing the Western Cape in the junior division after a weekend of trials’ selection, two weekends of provincial competition and participation in both the Boland and Rotary debating leagues over the course of several weekday evenings this year. ​“​As a highly reliable and committed member of his debating team, this accomplishment is as much a result of hard work and dedication as it is innate ability,”​ commented Dr Fabio Zoia, the head of debating at Somerset College.
