During the first week of the Grade 8 pupils’ journey at Somerset College, various fun and informative activities take place to help them feel at home in their new learning environment – like getting to know fellow students and figuring out where to report for different classes and sporting activities; learning the college song and meeting the head students. Highlights of the orientation week include receiving their school ties from the 2020 matrics and enjoying a picnic on the Manor House lawn with their mentors, and ending off with a swimming gala.
