On patrol

■ Dan Plato, MEC for Community Safety, joined Somerset West Neighbourhood Watch (SWNW) to do a walkabout in the area recently, starting at the SWNW communications centre, where the radio and camera systems were viewed, and from there they moved to Bridgewater, an area that has experienced some disturbing levels of crime. Joining them were the SWNW patrollers, the Strand Neighbourhood Watch patrollers, members of the Community Safety Partnership (CSP), with AM Security, Fidelity ADT, Gordon’s Bay Security and Secure Rite, as well as CID officers, councillors Stuart Pringle and Carl Punt, and members and residents of Bridgewater.
