Oakfields College is welcoming back the second-year students who are enrolled in two-year, full-time programmes, who started at the campus in 2016 during the college’s first year in Somerset West.
“Our campus has grown tremendously since opening our doors in 2016. Our students are provided with practical training on our beautiful campus, and this year sees us adding additional classrooms to our campus to accommodate growing student numbers,” says Ursula Vlismas, principal of Oakfields College.
The college provides tertiary level education to more than 40 full-time students, as well as part-time students, in a range of accredited courses.
Creative courses include film production, photography, graphic design, animation, events management, sound engineering as well as make-up and special effects.
“We are particularly excited about our film and photography faculties this year, as our film students will be exposed to the production of documentaries, short films, music videos and commercials to name but a few of their projects.
“Our photographers will be doing an extremely wide variety of studio as well as outdoor photoshoots to provide them with practical, real-world experience,” said Ms Vlismas. “We have an amazing mix of talented students from the area that are keen to learn how to make the most of their creative nature,” she adds.
