Last week the Rotary Club of Somerset West was visited by the assistant governor, Methchild Braxmaier, who is responsible for four out of the five basin Rotary Clubs. She was introduced to two people who will become members of the club on Monday October 10, Geza and Ghenwa Steingaszne. Ghenwa is a well-known local chef, who travels the world, cooking her Lebanese- based cuisine. Geza is a wine exper,t and although born in Hungary, is a citizen of the world, having worked in New York, Europe and Saudi Arabia in banking and investments. He also is a trained double bass player, who toured Eastern Europe in a jazz band, before escaping to the West, during the Communist era.
