The first Garden Ideas market will be hosted at Simondium’s Country Lodge from Friday July 27 to Sunday July 29, from 10am
to 4.30pm. The market will offer a large variety of plants and herbs, garden décor, fresh flowers, body products and a number of floral inspired items. Exhibitors will share garden themes from the past, showcase current trends and provide insights into the gardens of the future. Several experts will present informal talks on various aspects of gardening and the eco-system, including pruning practises, water-wise gardening and indigenous gardens. The deli will offer garden-fresh seasonal fruit, herbs and vegetables as well as home-made preserves, sauces and relishes. Market visitors can sit down to a bistro-style meal freshly prepared in the lodge’s restaurant. There will be a dedicated garden area for children that will be both fun and educational. Entry costs R50 and under 18s enter free of charge. Ample secure parking is available. For more information, contact 021 874 1046.
