The City of Cape Town has announced that it will start reopening Motor Licence Renewal and Driver’s Licencing Testing Centres from Tuesday June 9.

Some of these offices might open in phases to ensure all health and safety requirements are in place prior to opening.

Motorists are reminded that a 90-day grace period applies for expired driving licenses, learner licenses, PrDPs and vehicle registration and renewal discs from Monday June 1.

The validity period for the renewal of a motor trade number licence will also be extended for a further six months from Monday June 1.
