Last week, Reddam House opened its indoor aquatic centre, with special guests Ryk Neethling, who is the patron of Reddam House aquatics, and Peter Williams, who will be joining Reddam House next year as the director of swimming. To kick off the event, Ryk and Peter, both former Olympic swimmers, gave inspiring speeches and cut the pool ribbon to declare the centre officially open.
An inter-school relay gala followed between Reddam House Somerset, Bridge House, Beaumont, De Hoop and Herschel. After the gala there was an entertaining water polo exhibition match between two invitational teams from Stellenbosch University.
