The Helderberg Hospice Shops would like to remind the public that, as times become harder and more uncertain for everyone in South Africa, it becomes urgent that charities be as self-sustainable as possible. At Helderberg Hospice, their sustainability planning is centred around their three income-generating shops, which are located in the Helderberg basin. Each shop is stocked with many interesting and affordable finds, including pre-loved clothing, household goods, bric-a-brac, puzzles, toys, crockery, kitchenware, books and furniture, all of which are donated by their generous, loyal community members. This support enables Helderberg Hospice to continue their vital work in caring for and providing support for the terminally ill and their families. They ask that people use this lockdown period to go through their cupboards and empty them of any good quality items no longer used or needed. Once the lockdown period is over, donations can be delivered to their main shop at 139A Main Road, Somerset West. For larger donations, collection can be arranged.
