Lauren’s TED Talk

Somerset West resident and women’s rights activist, Lauren Jacobs delivered a 12-minute TED talk at TEDx Cape Town, the largest TEDx event in Africa. She was one of 15 South Africans who spoke at the event. Her talk, titled “A forgotten history, where are our women?” addresses the reality of women’s history and how it is being told in a manner that does not celebrate, curate or preserve female contribution or influence from the annals of history.
