Berry Behr, chair of the Cape Town Interfaith Initiative, will be speaking at the Somerset West Unitarian Fellowship, on Sunday July 7, at 10.30am for 10.45am, at Vonke House, Lourensford Road. Her subject will be “Breaking the mold: The Healing Power of Interfaith”. The Cape Town Interfaith Initiative was established in 2000, being borne out of the 1999 Parliament of World Religions. They envision and embrace a country and peoples unified by inter-religious and spiritual understanding and respect. The Mission of the Cape Town Interfaith Initiative is to celebrate and share the richness of the religious and spiritual diversity in the Western Cape, and to promote community interfaith understanding, harmony and cooperation, through both an awareness of universal spirituality and an honouring of the dignity of difference. Entry to the talk is free, but a free-will contribution will be appreciated. Contact Dave Mayes on 021 850 0863 or davedjeanmayes@gmail.com for more information.
