On Wednesday March 9, Helderberg Hospice volunteers were invited to a tea to thank them for the time they donate towards the work of the organisation.
Helderberg Hospice said the volunteers in their service really do make an enormous difference to the smooth running of hospice and the tea was hosted to celebrate their commitment.
“Volunteers work in different teams, doing different functions, and don’t always get to know their colleagues, so it was the ideal opportunity for them to meet like-minded souls who see volunteering as an opportunity to give back to their community,” the organisation said in a statement.
Long service awards were also presented by Helderberg Hospice chairman, Julian Weil.
Volunteers attending the special occasion, were served by members of the resources development and administration staff.
