As part of a group exhibition called Vision earlier this year at the Muller Gallery in Cape Town, a selected group of contemporary artists was offered an opportunity to create unique artworks on 100-year-old archive paper, which are old eye tests from the Muller & Sons Opticians, which is over a 100 years old.
Two of the participating artists, Mike Chisin, pictured left, with one of his artworks, and Stella Pelser, both from Somerset West, now have some of these unique works on display at the Bright Street Gallery in Somerset West, as part of the gallery’s Graphic and Digital Art exhibition.
Mike, a designer and artist, held a mini solo exhibition, and his journey has taken him from movie sets to lecturing young design students. The Bright Street exhibition was opened by guest speaker and artist, Fawa Conradie, and runs until Friday July 20.
