The Gordon’s Bay Lions Club inducted two new members at its monthly meeting in August.
The service club’s newest member is now just 20 years young. Monique Snyders and Pieta Maré were inducted by Lions district governor Lance Maytham, who visited the club with his wife Rosemary.
Mr Maytham and old and new members enjoyed a bustling meeting filled with laughter, applause and fun.
Ms Snyders already got involved in the clubs weekly skills development group in Temperance Town.
Mr Maré is one of the main actors of a centennial community project that goes together with the clubs, and also Lions Clubs Internationals upcoming anniversaries.
The Gordon’s Bay Lions meets on the third Wednesday of the month, at 7pm. For more information, contact them at 081 341 0980, or email info@gordonsbaylions.co.za
