The 3rd annual Fedhealth MTB Challenge will close off on a high note at the picturesque Boschendal Wine Estate on Sunday September 17 with a lively performance by local band, Sunset Sweatshop.
Formed in October 2016, the group’s debut single Move It has been a hit on South Africa’s leading radio stations.
According to Victor Green, drummer and backing vocalist, Sunset Sweatshop has a diverse genre.
“If I had to classify our music, I’d have to say that we focus on ‘feel good South African rock’. We love the profession as we love travelling and meeting new people.
“Between the five of us we’ve dabbled in gyming, jogging, waters sports, cricket, rugby, hockey, hiking, trail running and martial arts, but never mountain biking.
“This will be the first time that we perform for a group of mountain bikers. We’re really excited though as our music appeals to any crowd. The audience can expect a stellar performance that is filled with energy and is a lot of fun to watch,” continues Green.
“We will definitely be performing our debut single, Move It along with some covers ranging from Bob Marley to The Beatles.
“We’ll also include our original festival set which consists of songs that will be recorded really soon.”
