Somerset West Village Garden will host its annual Garden Day on Saturday October 19, from 10.30am to 1pm.
Enjoy G&T’s, bubbles and food tastings, talks by garden professionals, a cooking demonstration, and goodie bags, while supporting the ongoing development of this community garden.
Chef George Jardine and chef David MacDonald of Restaurant Seven, will do a cooking demonstration and tasting using freshly harvested produce from the garden.
Anna Cilliers of The Garden Magazine will discuss what she calls the seven deadly sins, and the good things about gardening.
Natashia de Wet of Circular Homes will talk about Bokashi and creating something rich and living out of waste, while saving the landfills.
Anneka Voigt of Kirchoffs Seed will talk about the importance of heirloom seeds and why gardeners should care.
