Established in 1872, the Cape of Good Hope Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) is the founding society of the SPCA movement in South Africa, and is the oldest animal welfare organisation in the country. A team of 30 Cape of Good Hope SPCA staff members will brave the IMPI Challenge at the Purple Windmill, Stellenbosch, on Saturday November 23, for the “love of all animals”. A registered non-profit and Public Benefit Organisation, the society relies on the support of concerned individuals and corporates to continue operating.
