Apropos my letter last week regarding the silting up of Gordon’s Bay Harbour, I noticed in the latest District Mail an official notice from the consultants that the Department of Public Works will be tackling the problem (“NSRI needs support”, Bolander letters, August 30).
The maintenance schedule and plans was to be tabled in Gordons Bay on Friday September 1, so hopefully the NSRI will be able to launch all of their boats when the dredging operation is complete.
